Creating a Reservation - Blocked

Learn how to block off specific sites and dates using a “Blocked” reservation.

Need to make certain sites unavailable for a short period? Whether you’re closing for repairs, private use, or a special event, Blocked Reservations in Park help you manage site availability without needing to track fake reservations or adjust your season settings.

🧱 What Is a Blocked Reservation?

Blocked Reservations temporarily remove sites from availability on your calendar. These do not include guests or payments and are simply meant to reserve space for internal use.

Use them to:

  • Block off specific sites for repairs or maintenance
  • Reserve sites for friends, family, or special use
  • Close your entire campground for a period of time

✍️ How to Create a Blocked Reservation

  1. Start like a regular reservation:
      • Either click and drag on a site in your calendar, or
      • Click the Create Reservation button in the top right.
  1. Choose “Blocked Reservation” as the type.
  1. Pick your dates just like you would for a standard booking.
  1. Select sites to block:
      • Click sites one by one, or
      • Use the Select All button to choose:
        • All sites in the campground
        • All sites of a specific type
      • Use Remove All to clear your selections and start over.
  1. (Optional) Add a note about why you're blocking the site(s)—e.g., “Repair needed,” “Reserved for owner,” etc.
  1. Click Create to finalize the block.

🔍 How Blocked Reservations Work

  • Blockers show as gray striped bars on your calendar.
  • Guests cannot book any sites with an active block.
  • You can click and drag a block to move or extend it, then confirm your changes.
  • Blocked Reservations do not affect billing or guest reports—they’re internal-use only.

🛠 Managing and Removing Blocks

You can:

  • Click on any blocked reservation to edit or delete it.
  • Use the Manage Group window to remove multiple blockers at once.
    • Great if you’ve blocked several sites and need to clear them all quickly.

🧭 When to Use Blocked Reservations (vs. Other Options)

Use Blocked Reservations for:

  • Temporary closures (repairs, events, private use)
  • Situational blocks (e.g. one-off group holds)

Use Site Settings or Camp Settings to:

  • Mark sites as non-bookable year-round
  • Define seasonal open and close dates
